Did you know that our national anthem was composed by Rabindranath Tagore in 1911 in honour of King George the fifth and the queen of England? (Some historians say it was 1919 -will have to verify this one) The entire national anthem is in honour and praise of the King and queen of England!!

Yup one more scandal- I’ve been ignoring it the last few days but now I cant help reacting so i have to blog about it. Because a friend who is an ex neighbour of the supposed rapist has been calling me up & filling me in on all the gup.I’m talking about the Shiney Ahuja scandal. Actor rapes maid and lands in jail.

I’ve been watching the bizarre scandal unfold on the television screens…Socialite arrested for customs duty evasion.Leading newspapers are screaming with cheap headlines such a “qaid mein hai bulbul” Reams and reams of newsprint devoted to what Sheetal was wearing on the way to jail, the value of the jewelry on her finger and the shade of her lipstick!

Strangely this morning Kaveri asked me if i was really a pop star because one of her friends mums had mentioned it. I told her yes i was…many years ago before she was even born. She looked sceptical. I had to show her one of my videos on you tube to convince her. She looked at it and told me a bit apologetically that though she thought it it was nice  she likes Hannah Montana better!
