I’ve Learnt…

I crave no praise
I seek no approval
For these are but the refuge of the unsure
I fear no hate
I take no refusal
For no matter what they try and control
nothing was ever written in stone
the final word has never been told

Morality duty accolades and laments
I’ve learnt are sometimes a matter of convenience
Doubters will doubt you, the dogs bark at you
Friends may turn and you with them
I’ve learnt that in the end its all okay
The names may change but its only human

So I’ve learnt to trust,
do the things i must
Nothing to do with them or you
Its ashes to ashes, dust to dust
and i just the things i have to do

I’ve learnt that their lies were merely a reflection
Of what lay within, my innner confusion
The futility of righteousness hurt and pain
I’ve learnt to not fall prey to them again
And though convinced my anger is justified
I’ve learnt in the end its best to be dignified.

I’ve learnt that blood is thicker than water
The ones you hold closest to your heart
can sometimes steal your laughter
I’ve learnt that its allright
to crash and rise and fall again
its perfectly allright to cry
If its what i want, i know i have every right
To get up and give it another try

So i’ve learnt to trust
Do the things i must
Nothing to do with them or you
Its ashes to ashes, dust to dust
And i just do the things i have to do

    Hey there,

I am not sure whether we are authorized to express our views for some things which might not be in conjunction with the stuff which is posted on the Blog. But I would request that there are some comments or articles put on the “Mahatma Gandhi’s Articles Caught on the Red Tape” and so is “Tipu Sultan’s Sword”. Where did we all Indians vanish and not taking slogans for bringing it back, when one patriot has spent a fortune to bring it back. What should have been done by the ‘Indian Govt.’ has been done by an entrepreneur and yet it waits clarification from the govt on the duty that has to be paid. Where was the Indian Govt. when a ‘Beaming Red Ferrari’ was brought into the country and no duty was paid for it. Today we have to pay duty for an Indian Heritage when no duty was charged for an Italian Masterpiece. Does that mean that cricketers and celebs in India are more famous than Mahatma Gandhi or Tipu Sultan. It is a shame, if we call ourselves Indians then.

Raj! it is out of place to make this comment in this blog.
but since u raised an issue I have to say something.
All purchases of this kind are liable to be taxed.
Exemption must be granted only by the government
It is a due process of law.
I am sure the government will grant it.
    relax.

Nothing lasts forever ,and all things pass……..
Pain is a fanciful sentiment which is real as long as it lasts
Happiness, contentment and joy are also but a journey.
Being forever caught in a web of emotion and then passing by life
Wondering after a while why you cried so much or even laughed so much.
Beautiful poem Suchitra there are no words to describe such sensitivity. Felt in every stanza I could relate instances of my own life and then as I stared out of the window and felt and asked myself?
    Was I over reacting?

Growin’ up in India, I’d always thought that you were “Different” from the rest of the celebrities that were poppin’ up on MTV/ Channel V. Different as in good different, not “Jesus Christ, if we ignore it, it’d go away” different, mind you!

Over the years, I came to know that you were much more than a pop singer. I’ve grown to appreciate your paintings, your skills in classical music (Although I’ll candidly state that it’s not really part of my daily playlist) and that performance in “My wife’s murder” was quite impressive too.

But most of all, I admire how you don’t seem to hang on to the spotlight with dear life like so many of your contemporaries do. In fact, if it wasn’t for good ol’ Wikipedia redirecting me to your page from god knows what, I wouldn’t have come across this blog at all!

Now that I’m here though, I find that there’s tonnes to read and most of it seems to be appealing to my tastes. Do expect comments from yours truly in steady stream hereafter! I haven’t really cared about Bollywood in donkey’s years, but if there’s something new that you’re doing, I’d make sure to check it out.

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi Suchitra,
Seems to me that this Peom is your reflection of the hurt you had incurred from your Loved Ones….Anyway, the poem says that you’ve Learnt to Trust,Very Good!Doing your things your way,Nice!Just Love yourself the way you are, smile upon your face always,Happiness and sadness are just your interpretation of thoughts.Everybody at some point of time have to think and introspect. You are the way God wanted you to be,just focus on your positive’s.Never say the word I’m Not or I Dont.Say the things that you are feeling happy about you.Chisel out your own Diamond in You,since after all we are born uncut Diamonds.Have a Wonderful Life,Just Believe in You.Good People will always be there for you, whether you realise it or not.

    Beautifully written.
That is the way it is, our life,
Fun filled or filled with strife,
Got to do what one’s got to do,
Hard to tell often, real or fake,
For sure our life is give and take.
